Combining Your Marketing

I just don’t understand why so many companies end up making everything so separate. The idea is focusing on one form of marketing at a time rather than figuring out ways to combine them all into a single marketing push.

And I’m not just referring to forms of marketing either, but to different areas of your marketing.

Perhaps this will be easier if I give an example of what I’m talking about.

Okay, let’s say you work for a company that has a new product coming up. Now, at the same time you’re trying to market yourself as an expert in your area, and by doing so you have set up a speech to give at a local business group.

At the same time as all of this you also have a large sale coming up. Each of these different pushes from you and your company are getting different types of marketing done. You have special business cards made up that show a picture of your new product to generate interest early on. You print posters focusing on the upcoming sale to put up in prime locations and start getting attention for it.

Obviously your speech is your way of making sure that can be seen as an expert and help increase the amount of trust people have in you and your company.

So what do you do to combine these?

First you find out exactly where the speech is being given and make sure you put up a number of posters about your sale right outside, and even inside the building you’ll be speaking at if you can. You should already have the print posters around and you’ll already be going to the place for your speech, so you don’t have to go to almost any extra effort. At the speech you make sure to hand out as many of those business cards as you can with your product information on them.

What does all of this do?

Not only are you able to get three different forms of marketing accomplished at the exact same time, but you’re also helping to boost up each of them by combining them. Your business cards will garner more attention because they’re connected to you and your speech. Your posters will be seen more because they’re connected to your company. Your speech will gain more attention because even before entering the building people will have just seen your company name all over the place.

You accomplish multiple marketing pushes at once while also building on each of them by having them together. I can’t think of a better way to market your company. The best part of it all was that you really didn’t have to go to any extra effort to get this improvement. You were already going to give the speech, and everything else could be done with minimal time and effort.
